A Little About Myself

I’ve always been interested in children and how they develop; studying Child Development at GCSE, and Health & Social Care and Psychology at A-Level with a keen focus on different aspects of childcare and child psychology. I’ve been working in Early Years since 2010. I began working in the pre-school at the Royal Masonic School in Rickmansworth, moving on to working with a child-minder based in Kensal Rise (both settings rated Outstanding by Ofsted). This has given me the opportunity to experience two different types of childcare and attend multiple Early Years training courses. I registered with Ofsted as a childminder in 2015.

I have undertaken further education courses in Health and Social Care, Sociology, and Equality, Participation and Inclusion in Education through the Open University. I have also completed the Home Based Childcare Award through the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY), and continue to undertake regular training courses.

All of this has given me the opportunity to get to know and learn about children and their families from different backgrounds. I have experience working with multi-lingual children, and children with additional needs (developmental delay, autism, hearing impairments and cochlear implants, allergies, challenging behaviour, asthma). I am happy to work with parents in order to best facilitate each child’s individual needs.

I provide a warm and nurturing second home for your child in my house in Pinner, where I live with my dog Nelly. I’ve lived in Pinner since I was born and I love to share the places I explored as a child with the children I look after. I will continue to learn and train in Early Years as I nurture my already flourishing little community, and support your child on their biggest and most important journey, their education.

I look forward to chatting with you,

Danielle
